Snooker needs you! With more and more clubs removing Snooker tables, we need to bring the games profile back up. This starts with a strong, united Snooker League, just like our neighbouring states enjoy.
BSA NSW Snooker League 2012 Registration Form.pdf
The Snooker League is into its second year and will be run by a BSA NSW Sub Committee and we are looking to get a great response from players and Clubs who want to join participate.
The League will be played within local “zones” in the Sydney metro area. The first stage ‘round robin’ (Home and Away) will be played over a number of weeks depending on the number of teams in each zone. We will try and apply zones to minimise any unnecessary travel time. The top 4 teams (to be confirmed depending on number of teams / zones) from the round round will play in a final series.
Note: The League will NOT run for as long as it did in 2011.
The league is a “handicap“ based competition allowing all to participate and have a chance of success.
Subject to the level of team registrations, arrangements are being considered again for the season to conclude with a catered awards night, with cash prizes for the Highest Break, Sportsman of the year, most improved player etc.
Whether you have 5 or 6 local players who want to submit a team for the league or you just want to nominate and find out where your local teams are so that we can put you in touch with them to join in, contact us as soon as possible. The proposed start date is yet to be confirmed but it will be sometime in June 2012.
