The IBSF has recently adopted the changes to the rules of Snooker and English Billiards announced by the WPBSA in 2011. These rule changes have now subsequently been adopted by the ABSC.
As the ABSC Championship Playing Conditions state that all Championships will be conducted under the rules of the game as published by the IBSF, these rule changes come into effect immediately and will be used for all future ABSC Championships.
Following the ABSC's adoption of these rule changes, they will be recognised and enforced by its State affiliates - and should therefore be applied immediately in all levels of the game.
It is important that all players, referees and administrators take note of these numerous changes.
The full list of the updated rules can be viewed on the IBSF website. However, the significant amendments can also be accessed via the ABSC website on www.absc.com.au
which also provides a brief but worthwhile explanation of what each rule change means in clear terms.
Once again, the BSA NSW emphasises the importance for all players, referees and administrators to gain a thorough understanding of these numerous rule changes as soon as possible.
